Who is a reporter?

A Tanki reporter writes articles for the Tanki Online Newspaper. Different types of articles are featured; guides, reviews, interviews, stories, other (humor), etc. The job of a Tanki reporter is to create content that stimulates the conversation of the game and bring members of the community together by enjoying a good read.


Responsibilities

In order to maintain the newspaper, Tanki reporters have certain responsibilities they have to uphold:

  • Follow official helper and reporter guidelines
  • Write at least one article or contest per month
  • Submit articles to the administration in a timely manner
  • If a smaller job is taken within the group, that reporter must abide by the responsibilities of that job
  • Let the newspaper administration know when and if you must be absent from writing for any stretch of time
     

Requirements

To become a candidate reporter, you must first apply. The newspaper administration will review your application. Keep in mind we are looking for:

  • Great writing
  • No penalties (warnings and bans) at the time of submitting the application - it is recommended to have a clean karma (ban history) for at least 6 months before applying
  • Respectable behavior in the game
  • Rank First Lieutenant or higher
  • At least 15 years of age
  • Commitment to writing
  • Knowledge of the game
  • Free time to write

Before You Apply

Helpers are not allowed to change their nicknames since they must be recognizable and unmistakable at all times. If you would like to change your nickname, please do so before applying. Thank you for understanding.

Helpers are also excluded from a number of contests.

PLEASE NOTE!

It may take up to a month for an application to be answered; however, there is a possibility that it may take more time to fully look into the applicant. Once your application is checked and a decision is made, you'll be contacted by an administrator via a private message on the application portal.

Declined applicants may apply again after six months (counting from the moment of submitting the previous application). This does not necessarily mean said applicant will be accepted next time.

Please note that even though you may meet the requirements mentioned above, that does not mean you are guaranteed an automatic acceptance into the Reporter Team. Every situation is different and requirements can change based on the individual applying. 

Questions regarding the status of an application, or any doubts / appeals / complaints regarding the decision on an already closed application, will be ignored. Such actions may also reflect negatively on the applicant's image for the future.

Newspaper Reporters create content for the Tanki Online Newspaper. They are not involved with reporting of chat and game violators.
