What information do we collect?

  • technical parameters of available equipment;
  • details of your volunteering pattern (i.e. the days and hours you generally volunteer).

APL Publishing Ltd. collects this information from you. For example, data is collected through:

  • application forms;
  • forms completed by you;
  • from correspondence with you; or
  • through interviews, meetings or other assessments.

Data is stored in a range of different places, including in APL Publishing Ltd.'s IT systems (including our network drives and email system).

Why do we process personal data?

We need  to process data to enter into a volunteering relationship with you and to meet its obligations to you. 

Processing volunteer data allows APL Publishing Ltd. to:

  • run volunteer recruitment processes
  • maintain accurate and up-to-date records and contact details
  • ensure effective administration
  • provide references on request for current or former volunteers
  • respond to and defend against legal claims

What is our legal basis for processing?

We are allowed to use personal information in the ways described above if we have a proper reason to do so. Our legal basis is a legitimate interest. We generally in other circumstances process your personal data relying on legitimate interest grounds, if we have concluded a legitimate interest assessment. Legitimate interests include our interest to have accurate contact details and to find the best fit for the role. 

 

Who has access to data?

Your information will be shared internally, including with members of the legal team, your supervisor, managers in the business area in which you volunteer and IT staff if access to the data is necessary for performance of their roles.

APL Publishing Ltd. does not share your data with third parties.

Tanki Online game account login

To access volunteering application form at https://helper.tankionline.com/, you will be asked to log in using Tanki Online game account.

 

When you connect to https://helper.tankionline.com/ through your Tanki Online game account, you will collect and give access to your Tanki Online game account cookies to access certain information stored on Tanki Online game account. We only use the information to give you full access to the https://helper.tankionline.com/ at the given moment.

 

Tanki Online’s use of personal Information and/or information on Tanki Online game account is governed by general Privacy Policy at https://tankionline.com/en/privacy/, not by this Privacy Policy.

 

How do we protect data?

APL Publishing Ltd. takes the security of your data seriously. APL Publishing Ltd. has internal policies and controls in place to try to ensure that your data is not lost, accidentally destroyed, misused or disclosed, and is not accessed except by its employees in the performance of their duties. 

How long do we keep your data?

If you apply to be a volunteer and you are not successful, we will automatically delete your application form after one month. If you apply to be a volunteer and you are successful we will automatically delete your data within six months after you stop providing volunteering services to APL Publishing Ltd. 

Your rights

As a data subject, you have several rights. You can:

  • access and obtain a copy of your data on request
  • require APL Publishing Ltd. to change incorrect or incomplete data
  • require APL Publishing Ltd. to delete or stop processing your data, for example where the data is no longer necessary for the purposes of processing
  • object to the processing of your data where APL Publishing Ltd. is relying on its legitimate interests as the legal grounds for processing
  • ask APL Publishing Ltd. to stop processing data for a period if data is inaccurate or there is a dispute about whether or not your interests override APL Publishing Ltd.'s legitimate grounds for processing data.

What if you do not provide personal data?

We would not be able to set up a volunteering arrangement with you.
